What does this tool send?

One vote with the service name "local", the username you enter, your IP address and the current time. It is the same vote a server list sends.

Which protocol should I use?

The tool reads the handshake from your server and uses the protocol it asks for. NuVotifier v2 needs the token. Classic Votifier v1 needs the public key.

Do you store my token or public key?

No. They are used for this one test and are not saved. They stay in your session only so the form keeps its values after the test.

The vote was sent, but nothing happened in game. Why?

Votifier received the vote, but no listener plugin gave a reward. Check your vote listener plugin (for example VotingPlugin or SuperbVote) and its service name settings.
